the muses must be kind to you --
pay attention to your dreams whether waking or in slumber
see with every eye that you have

this practice of writing everyday
is sort of a boot camp,
yet more so an attempt not wrestling inspiration to the ground
but more of a conversation
like friends phoning each other out of the blue
a lovers rendezvous.

You must do it first out of the challenge
then out of desire
then out of love

then at the moment you realize that
this practice becomes automatic,
a habit,
you’ll find yourself lost without it
and found with it.
