Absolutely Frivolous Oscar® Picks Review
Feb. 25th, 2007 09:22 pmOooh boy. This one was a doozy.
My predictions and the winners follow.
First off, My Oscar® Picks
Actor: Will Smith (should go to Forest Whittaker) - JUSTICE HAS BEEN SERVED! Ghost Dog for the win!
Sup. Actor : Alan Arkin -WINNER! About time.
Actress: Helen Miren (just 'cuz) WINNER! Yessss!
Sup. Actress: Adriana Baranza - NO! That went to Jennifer Hudson. Her sympathetic role in Dreamgirls cinched it.
Best Cartoon, Movie: Cars (Dreamworks tries too hard to be Apple... er.. I mean Pixar) - NO! Happy Feet took it. A shocker indeed as SBK denies Pixar the gold for the first time ever.
Documentary, Long: Al Gore's gonna take it. Prepare for news controversy. (Should win: Jesus Camp) -PREDICTABLE WINNER!. But there may be hanging chads from the voting populace in Florida.
Best Song: Our Town (Randy Newman's second Oscar, ever.) - NO! Melissa Etheridge takes the gold. Her first. Congrats, girl!
And a "Hell Yeah!!" to Martin Scorsese. as Best Director. It's about damn time.
Best Picture: If there is justice, The Queen. If this is predictable, Iwo Jima. I will however be really amused if it goes to Little Miss Sunshine. - A HAPPY NO! Scorsese Wins again for The Departed! I didn't get this right at all, but I am happy for his win!
Well, not bad predictions, but the entertainment news will go on and on about Scorsese. Deservedly so. Cheers!
